"What can I say, but FABULOUS! I just got home from the safari and have fallen in love with Tanzania...especially the people (what can be more important than that, finally?....) "The guides were particularly helpful, supportive and flexible when I thought I didn't have enough stamina to continue. They suggested an alteration to our route that greatly helped. Being greeted by a song each day from the Porters was fantastic. That will always be remembered.

We wanted a Tanzanian company that was endorsed by the Porters Association and also was environmentally conscientious. SENE was great on both criteria. We also had some budget limitations and found SENE to be priced in the middle of all carriers."

As far as Felix goes, I felt like we couldn't have been in better hands. That man KNOWS that mountain! And he made every step of the journey pleasant. The same goes for the whole crew.

I feel sorry for anyone who climbs Mt Kilimanjaro with any other company, because I know they are missing out. I seriously can't imagine anyway it could have been better."

I would say the highlight was really getting to know the guides and porters and spending time on Simon's farm, feeling more engrossed in the experience.

As far as SENE goes I would highly recommend using SENE for your trip I couldn't have imagined going with any other group, nor would I ever go back to Tanzania without calling them. Not only were they extremely professional, they made the trip feel like a family vacation. Simon prepared the entire trip for me and had everything in place not one thing did he miss. Everyone that works for the company is genuine, helpful, and extremely friendly. After leaving Africa I felt that I had more than an amazing adventure, I felt like I made new friends half way around the world!

There isn't one thing I can think of that SENE didn't do perfectly!

They are NOT just another tour group they genuinely care about their customers! They are also a 'Leave no Trace' company. Which was truly expressed when I was there climbing and all of their porters and guides were constantly picking up garbage and making KILI even more beautiful.

“I attempted Mt. Kilimanjaro in late October with Simon and Sene Inc. My experience with Simon and all of his associates is truly unforgettable. Having the opportunity to stay with Simon in the village that he grew up in surrounded by his amazing culture, friends and relatives only added to the experience. We had the chance to wander around the village, observing the natural beauty and lush green that is characteristic to Tanzania. Simon took a lot of time explaining his way of life to us, which I feel makes a vast difference in the way in which an outsider views how sacred Mt. Kilimanjaro really is. Drinking coffee and fresh squeezed juice grown in Simon's gardens daily was also treat!

On the Mountain Simon and his staff exuberated endless patience with me as a first time climber, for this I will be forever grateful. Always smiling and joking around the porters only added to the climb.

I would HIGHLY recommend anyone to Simon, whether you are a first time, or veteran climber.“
